- Human Detection Sensor
If it detects someone, it notifies you by e-mail!
-Features a built-in Pyroelectric Infrared (PIR) sensor (*1)
that detects human movement by monitoring temperature changes.
-When the camera detects human movement, images from before, during,
and after the detection can be sent by e-mail. (*2)
-While away from home, you can check up on things when temperature
changes are detected.
-Send images by e-mail to a computer, mobile phone, etc.
-Check up on things while away from home.
Notes:
+Receiving or displaying images on a mobile phone may not be
possible if your mobile phone or mobile phone service provider do
not support image attachments.
+When using the sensor
The built-in sensor detects heat variations which occur from the
sides with more accuracy than variations which approach the
camera.
The detection range of the sensor may increase or decrease
depending on the temperature and environment where the camera is
installed.
Detects heat variations from the sides very accurately.
Heat variations which approach the camera can be difficult to
detect, therefore the distance of the sensor's range may be less
than 5 m (16.4 ft). |

- Multi-camera feature
-With the multi-camera feature (*8),
up to 12 Network Cameras can be viewed simultaneously.
This allows you to select and view a specific camera by clicking on
its image -- there is no need to enter that camera's address or
change browser screens.
-All you need is a standard web browser; no additional software is
required.

- Image buffer feature
-The Network Camera can store approximately 250 images (*9)
in its internal memory (*10).
Images can be saved by day, by time, and by interval, allowing you
to view a record of past images.
For example, if you set the camera to save 1 image per minute, you
can have a record of approximately 4 hours of camera images,
allowing you to see time-lapse images of household plants or pets.

record of approximately 4 minutes worth of images from the camera.
- Viewnetcam.com service
-This Network Camera is compatible with Viewnetcam.com service (*11).
With this service, you can view and control the camera from just about
anywhere, without registering a fixed global IP address (*12)
for your Network Camera.
You can also choose a name that is easy to remember (ex.
bob.viewnetcam.com) for the camera (*13)
when registering for the service.
Viewnetcam.com serviceis accessible from computers as well as mobile
phones, which means you can access your Network Camera over the
Internet from just about anywhere you like!

Unlike USB cameras which must be connected to a computer in order to
be used, the Network Camera does not need to be connected to an
on-site computer when in operation.
(*1)
Sensor detects heat by picking up the infrared light naturally emitted
from people and animals.
Certain thermal environments, sunlight, air conditioners, heaters, etc.
may cause detection errors or decrease the range of the sensor.
(*2) The
time needed to send images by e-mail from the camera will vary depending
on the condition of the network.
When setting the camera to e-mail images to a mobile phone, we recommend
setting a longer interval time.
If the interval is set too short, more images will be e-mailed to your
mobile phone and therefore your mobile phone charges may be higher.
POP before SMTP is supported for sending images via e-mail.
If your provider only supports SMTP-Auth for authentication, you may not
be able to use this feature.
(*3)
1 lux is approximately the same as the brightness of a candle 1 m (3
ft.) away in a dark room.
Image refresh speed and image quality may be affected when using Color
Night View mode.
In low light settings, images may be slightly blurry especially with
moving subjects or when panning and tilting.
(*4)
When viewing dark subjects using Color Night View mode, specks of white
or colored light may appear in the image. This is a characteristic of
the CMOS image sensor. The camera is not malfunctioning.
(*5) A feature designed to
simplify the setup of computers and devices connected to the same
network.
(*6) Some UPnP-compatible
broadband routers do not support automatic network configuration.
In this case, you will need to configure the router manually.
Refer to the documentation included with your broadband router for more
information.
(*7) This feature requires
Windowsョ XP or Windowsョ Me, and UPnP must be enabled.
(*8) To use this feature, simply
register other Network Cameras to a single "main" camera; the other
cameras are accessed through the "main" camera.
The multi-camera feature can be used from a computer; it is not
compatible when accessing from a mobile phone.
(*9) When image resolution is set
to 320 x 240 and image quality is set to standard.
(*10) When the camera is turned
off, saved images are erased.
(*11) A free service provided by
Panasonic.
(*12) A unique IP address that is
